These missions often cover large areas and require coordination, endurance, and precision.

Project Lifesaver—Rapid Response When Time Is Critical

​​

The Land Division also responds to Project Lifesaver callouts.

​​

This program is designed for individuals with conditions such as Alzheimer's, dementia, or autism who may wander and become lost.

​

Participants wear a small transmitter that allows search teams to track their location.

​

When activated:

• ESAR deploys trained searchers with tracking equipment

• Teams follow the signal directly to the individual

• Many recoveries are made in minutes instead of hours

​

This program dramatically increases the chances of a safe and fast recovery.
